sweet times in Sugar Land 2017

our annual trip to Sugar Land!

what's a trip to Houston without a trip to see the Astros?!

these two LOVE each other!

and so do these two.

we had a wonderful trip to see the Waldrons

we ate out, saw things, did stuff, but the best part is just waking up slowly and lounging around together.

taking it easy and catching up on life.

and made everything so much fun! 

i loved getting to spend time with this sweet girl

it was so much fun braiding her hair and listening to her sweet voice

these kiddos sure do love each other

and i love their parents

too bad i didn't snag a pic of us adults!

i wish that we were able to see them more often.

but, it makes the times we get together so much more meaningful

as always, Brice took care of everything down to a "t"

making us feel perfectly at home, and taking care of the details so that we could soak up every second of being together. 

I'm thankful that Tommy and GT became friends 30 years ago, so that we can enjoy our awesome friendship today

and watch the sweet friendship grow between our children. 

Friends visit

We make it to Dallas quite often. 

If not once per month, then every 6 weeks.

Two of our siblings live there and i still have some of my best friends there.

So, we have plenty of reasons to visit. 

for a little change, 

My sweet friends came to visit us in May!

We absolutely loved having them and letting them have a bit of country living for the weekend. 

including crawfish and gator rides.

Buzz and Judson are BFF.

she was such a trooper at saying "yes" to every single sword fight or baseball game Judson asked her to play. love her.

Rachel and James brought their pup, Coach.

but super sweet and lovable. and has no awareness of his size, ha!

we adore that sweet baby Ruby

she is always happy and so fun to be with. just like her parents!

i was not the only one who fell for Ruby

14 years i've been knowing these people.

well, 8 for Rachel.

but still! a long time!

and i'm forever grateful for our friendship.

and i'm thankful for their love for my kids and the effort that they all make to keep our friendship going.

we just get each other and can chat about all the things and laugh for days on days.

what a gift!
